“Gotta Catch ‘Em All” at Altitude Trampoline Park

September 9, 2016

You may have heard by now about the newest gaming craze: Pokémon GO. This user friendly app developed by Niantic is not only sweeping the nation; it’s sweeping the world! Since its release in Australia and the US on July 6, Pokémon GO has slowly been expanding to countries around the world.

What’s the Game?

Everyone is talking about Pokémon GO but what’s so great about a gaming app? To start off, this video game gets your kids (and adults alike) moving. To play the game, you need to get walking. The game uses a GPS map to add Pokestops, Gyms, and of course Pokémon wherever you are.

Looking at your screen, you’ll be able to find Pokestops, Gyms, and Pokémon and all you need to do is walk over to them. The goal of the game is to catch as many Pokémon as you can. As you do that, you’ll Quick read more or view full article go up levels and open up new advantages. For example, you need to be on level 5 to be able to use the Gym feature.

If you’re lucky enough to catch a Pokémon, an image of the Pokémon you’ve found is superimposed into your current location using your smartphone’s camera. You don’t need to have been a fan of the hit TV show; this game is impressive and fun!

Pokémon catching tip: The more populated an area is, the more Pokémon you’ll find. Bigger cities, bus terminals, subway stations, popular restaurants are all places that would be crawling with Pokémon goods!

Catching Pokémon

Any fan of the series will know that you can’t just “catch” a Pokémon. You need to catch them with Pokeballs. You can catch the Pokémon by throwing the Pokeball at them until you catch them. But there’s a catch. You don’t have unlimited Pokeballs, but there are a couple of ways to collect them.

The first way is to earn them at Pokestops. Make your way to a point of interest (Pokestops are normally located at historical or popular sites in your city) and collect as many as you can by tapping on them when they appear on your screen.

A second way to do it is to buy them. If you’re really desperate for extra Pokeballs, this could be a good solution. But know that you can get them free of charge by exploring your city!
