Have Your Cake and Eat It Too at Altitude Trampoline Park

November 23, 2015
It used to be that the only way to get a workout in was to painfully lug yourself to the gym, do some crunches, maybe 20 minutes of cardio, hit the showers, and head home. No wonder people think exercise is mind numbingly dull. However, a new trend has emerged in the world of exercise and physical activity: Fun.

Fun, like jumping on a trampoline fun. Long forgotten are the days of your childhood summers spent bouncing atop your best friend’s trampoline. But… why? It was such a good time! The good news is you don’t have to abandon those memories any longer. You’re never too old to get back on the trampoline, so to speak.

Trampoline exercises are some of the best exercises out there. Sure, you may be jumping indoors instead of under the hot summer sun, but it beats lying on a sweaty gym floor Quick read more or view full article doing exercises that render little results. Indoor trampolining is still incredibly entertaining, slightly addictive, and can be done all year round.

Health Benefits of Trampoline Exercise
Trampolining works your entire body in one workout. It is a great cardio exercise that works to tone your muscles and increase endurance. It goes without saying that trampoline jumping will work the legs, but it will also work your arms and abs. Your abs (or core) are crucial in keeping your balance when jumping. The best part is your abs will naturally engage as you jump without you even having to think about it!

Arms are a little tougher to work on the trampoline, but that doesn’t mean you can’t. Arms can be worked in a number of ways that don’t require weights. You just have to be a little more creative – try doing a sort of pushup jump, for example.
For those with sensitive knees, trampolining is a great alternative to running or jogging. Pavement and treadmills are hard surfaces to land on and put a lot of pressure on your knees, causing strain which can be painful and discouraging. Trampolines are soft and take most of that pressure off the knees, all while providing you with just as good a cardio workout.

Another enticing benefit is that you’ll notice a significant boost in metabolism. A high functioning metabolism means your body can better absorb nutrients. The result? Better control over your weight. Keeping your weight down can be hard, but with a more efficient metabolism you’ll have more ease managing it.

And the list goes on. Additional benefits include lowering cholesterol, blood pressure and increased circulation. One trampoline fitness class (of one hour) can easily burn 1000 calories! You’d need to run a little more than six miles straight to burn that many calories in an hour.

You Can Enjoy Exercising
Don’t let exercise be the most dreaded part of your day. Physical activity is about more than just getting to your ideal weight, or fitting into an old pair of jeans. It’s about feeling good and healthy and not getting winded when walking up a flight of stairs. At Altitude Trampoline Park, you really can have your cake and eat it too. Trampolining is fun and a great addition to your weekly workout regimen that you can do alone or with friends and family – we’re pretty sure the kids will like it too!
